> Fitter and Machinist (Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade)
> Boilermaker (Cert III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade)

1. What is the Elevate Apprenticeship Program?

Elevate is Questas Group’s national apprenticeship program. It gives you hands-on experience, a nationally recognised qualification, and support from people who know the job. It’s all about helping you build a successful career!

2. Who can apply?

We welcome school leavers, career changers, mature-aged students, and anyone with a mechanical aptitude and interest in engineering trades. Whether you’re just starting out or looking for a new direction, if you’re ready to learn and grow, we’d love to hear from you.

3. Do I get paid as an apprentice?

Yes! You’ll earn a wage from day one. Our “Earn While You Learn” approach means you get on-the-job experience, a nationally recognised qualification, and earn an income at the same time.

4. Do I need previous experience or a pre-apprenticeship?

It’s helpful but not required. We’re looking for people who are practical, motivated, and keen to learn. If you’ve done a pre-apprenticeship or similar training, that’s great but it’s not essential.

5. What does a typical week look like as an Apprentice?

It’s a mix of real work and structured learning.

Each week, you’ll spend time on:

> Learning on the job with your team
> Going to TAFE or completing theory work
> Participating in training sessions through Elevate Academy

6. What kind of support will I get through the Elevate program?

> A site-based mentor
> Support from our Technical Services Group
> Training in communication, time management, and teamwork
> Catch-ups with other apprentices across Questas Group
> Opportunities to visit other sites and develop new skills

7. What trades are in demand?

> Fitter and Machinist
> Boilermaker
> Electroplater
