Berendsen Fluid Power, a Questas Group company, has officially opened its Cylinder SupaCentre in Neerabup, Perth — a purpose-built, 6,900 m² facility designed to transform hydraulic cylinder repairs for Western Australia’s mining and industrial sectors.
The SupaCentre introduces a dedicated, streamlined process for cylinder repairs, replacing traditional workshop bottlenecks with a custom, high-speed process. By combining scale, automation, and advanced equipment, the facility is designed to significantly reduce turnaround times, helping customers keep fleets running and downtime to a minimum.
Innovation at the Core
The SupaCentre introduces two major advances:
- Rolling Repairs – critical components such as rods, pistons, and glands are pre-restored and stocked, ensuring parts are ready when needed and repairs can be completed faster.
- High-Speed Repair Flow – custom-designed benches, 20-tonne cranes, automated handling systems, and full in-group capability (machining, honing, hard chrome plating, blasting, painting, and testing) deliver a safe, consistent, end-to-end repair process.
Built for Heavy Industry
Every aspect of the SupaCentre has been engineered for the demands of large-scale mining equipment, including:
- 3,000 m² of dedicated workshop space.
- Capability to handle cylinders up to 20 m in length and 1 m in diameter.
- Custom suspension benches to strip, rotate, and rebuild the heaviest mining cylinders.
- Computerised hydraulic testing to 630 bar, with full traceability and digital reporting.
A New Benchmark for WA
“The Cylinder SupaCentre is about more than speed — it’s about reimagining how equipment is supported in Western Australia,” said James Leach, Executive General Manager, Berendsen Fluid Power. “By creating a purpose-built facility for hydraulic cylinder repairs, we’re giving customer the confidence that their equipment can be turned around faster, more reliably, and to the highest standards of quality.”
For West Coast operations, the benefits are clear:
- Faster turnarounds and reduced downtime.
- Reliable, consistent repairs backed by data and testing.
- Safer handling of large and complex equipment.
Strategic Investment in WA
The Perth Cylinder SupaCentre represents a significant investment in Western Australia’s industrial future. Backed by Berendsen’s national network and Questas Group’s commitment to long-term industry support, it sets a new benchmark for hydraulic repair capability in the region.
